What is Organic?

Organic has become a very fancy word within the past years, but what is really behind it?

Is it worth the price?

Within the industrial age the agriculture shifted from small scale farmers to huge producers. More and more technologies have been developed making big scale farming more profitable and efficient. Fertilizers helped to grow the plants faster and pesticides helped to kill insects and any other plants, hindering the crop to grow.

This clearly was a breakthrough towards industrial farming.

Additionally new techniques have been developed to grow, or better said: produce animals faster and generating more meat. Giving animals antibiotics to prevent any disease became quite normal and animal treatment standards went down.

Organic is a standard which is not only against this way of industrial, conventional agriculture, but developed standards ensuring a healthy and sustainable agriculture for the farmer, the consumer, the plants, animals and soil. This harmony leads to nutritious, tasty and healthy products for you, your family and your loved ones. All over the world

Consuming Organic ensures that you consume just what the nature serves you, without chemicals, pesticides, herbicides or antibiotics.

What is Difference?

Do I gain health consuming organic or do I not harm myself eating it?

Why is Organic more expensive? Who gets that money?

Organic products are very rich in vitamins and nutritions. As rich as the nature. And as there are no additives, pesticides, herbicides, artificial colors or flavors used during the production, the consumption of Organic products is not harmful.

Nonetheless Organic products appear to be more expensive compared to conventional products. As all types of artificial and synthetic pesticides are forbidden, Organic agriculture requires more man power to keep the fields clean and to treat the crops. Harmful insects can not be "sprayed away" with pesticides, which would also end up in your crop.

But studies have shown that Organic would be cheaper than conventional if the hidden costs would be payed, such as:

- Hospital costs, caused through diseases as result of the use of chemicals in agriculture

- Water-Cleaning-Costs, caused by the chemicals used in conventional agriculture, which partly end up in the ground and drinking water.

Go Organic. Go Green. Stay Healthy.
